Shimmer take down Atrix to reach FERJEE Rainhas do Clutch grand final
Just over a month after they beat FlyQuest RED to secure their spot, Shimmer faced off against Brazilian squad Atrix in the semifinals of Rainhas do Clutch 2026. Played on LAN in Rio, the match was a competitive affair, but Shimmer came out on top to earn a place in the grand final.
They have guaranteed a minimum pay day of roughly $5,962 USD, but could earn about $18,655 if they win the final.
The series began on Shimmer's Ancient pick with Atrix taking an early 3-1 lead. Shimmer clawed back a few rounds, but Atrix still maintained a slight 7-5 lead at the half. After taking the second pistol, Atrix went nearly flawless to steal their opponent's pick 13-6.
Atrix picked Dust2 and got another strong start to put Shimmer down 0-3. Shimmer's response was much more potent as they won eight of the next nine rounds to secure an 8-4 lead. Atrix won their fourth pistol and went on a run to put Shimmer down 9-11, but the NA squad kept their composure in clutch situations and came back to take the map 13-11.
Mirage was the decider, and Atrix got their fifth pistol win in a row. The rest of the half was back and forth, but Shimmer managed a small 7-5 lead. After Shimmer finally won a pistol round, they had a solid T-side to take the deciding map 13-8.
