Shimmer top Rainhas do Clutch NA qualifier over FlyQuest RED

Shimmer have qualified to their first LAN event of 2026 after topping the one-day Rainhas do Clutch NA qualifier back on May 21st. Shimmer were one of three teams to sign up for the NA qualifier, showing the somewhat dire state of the women's scene in North America following the demise of the ESL Impact League last year.

Shimmer were joined in the qualifier by FlyQuest RED and a mixteam named named aga featuring Olha "olya" Kryvulych, Kelsie "uhKelsie" Click, and Marissa "madss" Dasta. FlyQuest RED received a bye straight into the grand finals while Shimmer faced off against aga on the other side of the semifinals.

Shimmer's series against aga was a fairly comprehensive win for the orgless squad, with Mirage going the way of Shimmer 13-8 after an opening 6-6 half while Dust2 was locked down by Shimmer 13-7 after a 10-3 opening CT-side.

Moving into the grand finals against FlyQuest RED, Shimmer struck the first blow on Ancient by winning their opening CT-side 10-3 before taking the map 13-2. Moving onto Mirage, it took the entirety of regulation for Shimmer to secure the map 13-11, taking the series 2-0 and proving they are still the best Impact squad in North America despite recent changes and struggles.

Shimmer will now get ready to head to Rio de Janeiro for the $30k LAN where they will be joined by Clutchain Female (the former Imperial Valkyries core) and two teams from today's Brazilian qualifier.
