Wildcard claim first place at BC Game Masters Championship 2

They represented NA well in Portugal.

After receiving a playoff invite to the BC Game Masters Championship 2, Wildcard went on an undefeated run to reach the final. There, they faced FOKUS in a rematch from the upper-bracket final. After taking them down 2-0 before, a more competitive final saw Wildcard win 2-1 to end the tournament in first place, securing a $30,000 prize.

In addition to the cash prize, Wildcard got another huge win: VRS points. Their impressive performance on LAN earned them 75 VRS points, boosting them from global #35 at the start of the event to #27.

The series began with FOKUS picking Inferno, but Wildcard got off to a hot 7-0 start. Though FOKUS got a few rounds, Wildcard still led 9-3 going into the second half. After winning the pistol and conversions, Wildcard got map point early before FOKUS strung four rounds together. However, it was too little, too late, as Wildcard eventually closed Inferno 13-7.

Wildcard picked into Dust2, but lost their first pistol round. After both teams got solid round streaks, the score was tied 6-6 going into the second half. Wildcard won their CT-pistol and conversion, then the two teams went back and forth early in the half. FOKUS were eventually able to gain control and took Dust2 13-10, forcing a decider.

Map three of the final was Nuke, and Wildcard got off to a shaky 0-5 start. After that, they turned it around and won out of the rest of the half to take a 7-5 lead. After taking the second pistol and conversion, Wildcard went nearly flawless in the second half to take Nuke 13-6.
