Marsborne enter a new era

Check out the VRS impact of FRAG 20

Marsborne earned its first VRS points at the Las Vegas LAN.

FRAG 20 wrapped up yesterday, with Wildcard taking home the $11,000 grand prize after sweeping Fisher College in the grand final.

While the invite date for the IEM Cologne Major is long gone, teams now have their sights set on the PGL Singapore Major to end the year.

Marsborne were the least known quantity of the event, as they entered with a near-entirely different roster from their recent Brazilian outings, with only Adam "Grizz" Golden retaining his spot in the team. Marsborne played the required five matches to earn their VRS starting point, amassing 896 points at FRAG 20. As of the time of writing, the new Marsborne core is 143rd in the Global VRS standings and 31st in the Americas filter.

Of the rest of the teams at the event, Fisher College came away as the biggest VRS-gainers after their second-place finish at FRAG 20. They are climbed 43 places into 85th globally at the end of the tournament.

Tournament champions Wildcard made impressive strides in the rankings, also. Their 140-point haul was good enough to get them to 32nd worldwide, and they now sit at eighth place among America's teams.
