CCT Season 3 NA Series #4 reaches playoffs

After the five-day group stage eliminated four teams, the four survivors are joined by four invites for the playoffs of CCT North America Online Series #4. The remaining eight teams will play out a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner.

Voca, Marsborne (playing with their former lineup), LAG, and Zomblers are the playoff invites. All playoff matches are best-of-three, and the first-place team takes home $5,000.

Group A was FarmVille, Akimbo, regain, and InControl. regain got a forfeit from InControl, and FarmVille smashed Akimbo to start the group. Akimbo got a big upset on InControl to eliminate them hours before the team would win ECL S51 Cup 3 and regain advanced to the playoffs in a tight series over FarmVille. Akimbo took the third map of the deciding series by forfeit.

Group B was 900FPSvsECO (formerly Outfit 49), Shimmer, insane players (formerly SportsBetExpert), and Aether. After insane players forfeited their opener against Aether and 900FPSvsECO beat Shimmer, 900FPSvsECO withdrew from the event. insane players knocked out Shimmer and got a free pass to the playoffs from the withdrawal.

As insane players lost two players during the Marsborne rebuild, they forfeit their match. The only quarterfinal tonight will be at 08:30PM between LAG and Aether.
