PGL adds third-place decider match to Singapore Major

The Major officially has a tiebreaker.

PGL has announced the implementation of a third-place decider match at the 2026 PGL Singapore Major at the end of the year. The match will take place on championship Sunday before the Grand Final.

Starting in 2025, PGL's Tier-1 events have all included third-place decider matches, but this is the first time the Major will see such a format change. Since ESL Pro League Season 22, all ESL Tier-1 events have slo included a third-place decider. While the difference in prizing between third and fourth place at Singapore is not yet known, PGL Bucharest will reward $75,000 for third place $43,750 for fourth.
