Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 Day 10: insane players advance to playoffs with 3-0 record
The tenth day of Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 came to a close yesterday, with the second spot in the playoffs going to insane players.
insane players defeated Zomblers in a 2-0 match to book their spot in postseason play. The former won 2-0 in the series, dropping Zomblers to the 2-1 pool.
The 2-0 series began on Zomblers' Nuke selection. They began with a 3-0 lead on the T side, but insane players answered back with five of six to take a slight lead at 5-4. Zomblers leveled the score at 6-6 at halftime, leaving everything to play for in the second half. insane players' T side was very impressive, as they quickly sprinted out to a 12-7 advantage. Zomblers managed just two more rounds in the comeback attempt, falling on their map pick 13-9.
insane players' chose Mirage, and it was a tight affair throughout the first half with insane players taking a slight 7-5 lead into the second half. Zomblers started the second half nicely, winning the first four rounds to take the lead. From that point it was nearly all insane players, as they surrendered a single round to end the map and series with a 13-10 win.
Samuel "sml" Oliveira, Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman, and Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula were all in good form, posting 37, 37, and 38 frags, respectively.
