Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 Day 7 recap: Clockwork eliminate Reign Above

Day seven of Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 featured just one match, a 2-1 victory for Clockwork to eliminate Reign Above and keep themselves alive in the group stage.

The first map of Dust2 saw Clockwork’s attack go 9-3 in the first half, reaching map point just three rounds into the second. Reign Above then went on an eight-round streak, reaching 11 before Clockwork were finally able to convert and prevent their opponents’ comeback.

On Anubis, T sides again reigned supreme as Clockwork’s secured an 8-4 lead. Reign Above’s offense was even stronger, only allowing a few sporadic defuses to tie the series 1-1.

While both maps were close, Nuke was the closest. This time it was the CT sides that prevailed, but our teams were so evenly matched that overtime was required, the second half of which saw Clockwork win three straight rounds to take the series.

Matthew “swayu” Norton impressed statistically in his final match for Reign Above. On the side of Clockwork, Bradley "Slugy" Kohler led with 69 frags and a 1.30 rating.
