DETONATE part ways with bazz and Momiji

FRAG York's Big L winners are making changes.

On March 29th, DETONATE IGL Matthew "tatm" Munro posted that the team is looking for two players to join the core of himself, Austin "chante" Ganster, and Raymon "duhpe" Carrillo, as both Basil "bazz" Droulias and Hayden "Momiji" Whitaker depart the roster.

As Fisher College's second team within collegiate events and DETONATE's outside, the roster most recently won the Big L tournament at FRAG York after failing to make Top 16. tatm told Dust2.us that "results were a big factor" in the decision to part with bazz and Momiji. The IGL also expressed a "lack of a good foundation" as he tried to mentor his less experienced teammates, saying, "I don't think I'm in that phase of my career and the core of my team agreed."

bazz has posted on his social media, "Frag York was amazing, won the Big L, but sadly my time with DETONATE comes to an end. Learned so much from this great group of guys, nothing but respect for them."

In addition to a looking-for-team post, Momiji also shared, "pleasure meeting everyone and putting faces to names thx Fisher Esports for the opportunity and for my teammates."

DETONATE are now:

  • United States Matthew "tatm" Munro

  • United States Austin "chante" Ganster

  • United States Raymon "duhpe" Carrillo

  • United States Synthia "Syn" Dawson (Substitute)

  • United States Taylor "ioRascal" Hays (Coach)
