
Marsborne fall short in rematch with Galorys, elminated in group stage at BetBoom Circuit X Mayhem São Paulo
Marsborne were faced with another match v. Galorys to qualify for playoffs at BetBoom Circuit X Mayhem São Paulo. The American side lost to the Brazilians 2-1 in their opening match at the South American LAN.
Marsborne rebounded v. ALKA to set up a showdown in the Group A decider with Galorys. Both sides would take each other's map pick, and Galorys ran away with the third map.

The Brazilians took three rounds from four before Marsborne answered back with three in a row to keep the affair tied at 4-4 early. Galorys took another three out of four to take a 7-5 halftime lead. Marsborne briefly held an 8-7 advantage before their counterparts closed out the map with six in a row, putting the Americans away in map one, 13-8.
Marsborne would have to answer back on their opponents' map of Dust2. Both teams jockeyed for control, with neither able to take an advantage after a 6-6 half. Galorys jumped ahead 9-7, but Marsborne rebounded, winning four rounds in a row and then ending the map with two in a row to steal Galorys' pick 13-10.
Galorys took a quick 3-0 lead on the final map of Ancient. The Brazilians didn't let Marsborne get a foothold in the third map, taking a commanding 9-3 lead at halftime. Marsborne won the second half pistol, but couldn't convert the next round, giving Galorys the chance to end the map swiftly, which they did. The Brazilian side didn't concede any more rounds, winning the decider 13-4 and securing a spot in the playoffs.
Gabriel "gbb" Pereira was in form for Galorys, as he dropped 58 frags and a 1.47 rating in the match.
Galorys will now move to the quarterfinals, where they will face Bounty Hunters.
