A huge bounce back from M80

M80 take first place at DraculaN 6

The finals went the way of the Americans.

M80 bounced back after their previous loss to Monte in the upper bracket final by defeating Alliance in the consolidation final. That win set up a rematch in the final with Monte. It was a back-and-forth three-map affair, but M80 came out on top in the end.

M80 chose Inferno instead of the Ancient pick that they made in the first series v. the European side. M80 started with four in a row to take the early lead, but Monte closed the half strong to even the score at 6-6. The second half went nearly entirely the way of Monte, as they gave up just two rounds to the North Americans to win the map 13-8.

Monte picked Dust2, with a chance to close the series in a 2-0 sweep. It was a competitive start, with M80 taking a slight 4-3 advantage early. From that point on, M80 were perfect to close the first half, leading 9-3 on Monte's pick. M80 continued on the hot streak, taking the next four rounds to win 13-3 and even the series at 1-1.

The decider was Mirage, and M80 had a slow 1-4 start. After that, they went on a 6-1 run to take a slight 7-5 lead at the half. M80 started the second half slowly as well, allowing Monte to close the gap. However, M80 recovered and closed out the map 13-10 to take the title.

It's a shame they already pulled out of PGL Bucharest, after their performances against Liquid and Aurora I'm excited to see them play in Tier 1 again
