ESL Challenger League S51 Cup 2 Day 7: Chicken Coop sweep Aether to move on to grand final
Chicken Coop have made the grand final of ECL S51 Cup 2 after a 2-0 win over Aether.
They will now face SportsBetExpert in the grand final of ECL Cup 2, with the winner qualifying for the Season 51 NA Finals.
The series began with Chicken Coop's map, Nuke. Aether started on the CT side, and took full advantage of that. Aether took the first five rounds and used that momentum to take a 9-3 lead into the halftime break. Chicken Coop's CT side started well, but they fell behind 11-8 early in the second half. CC ended the first half flawlessly, with five rounds in a row to clinch the 13-11 win on Nuke.
Aether chose Inferno to try and even up the series. This time it was Chicken Coop that started well, as they took eight of the final ten rounds of the half to secure an 8-4 halftime lead. Aether were threatening in the second half, closing the gap to 11-9. They weren't able to complete the comeback, falling just short and losing 13-10.
Benjamin "Panic" Keeping was the star for Chicken Coop, dropping 45 frags and a 1.38 rating in the series.
