Official: swag confirms he is unbanned from Valve events as he seeks coaching, talent development roles in CS2

Braxton "swag" Pierce has confirmed to Dust2.us that he has been unbanned from Valve Majors and is free to compete in and work with teams in the most important events in the Counter-Strike 2 calendar. According to swag, he was unbanned in early 2025 at the same time as former iBUYPOWER teammate Joshua "steel Nissan, however he wanted to reiterate this fact as it is not widely known in the community.

With the air being cleared on his status, swag also informed Dust2.us that he wants to pursue new roles in Counter-Strike 2, stating he would be interesting in doing coaching, analyst, player scouting, and/or talent development work for any interested parties.

swag's search for a new role in Counter-Strike 2 comes after a brief return to action as a player in 2024 with Vibe, competing on the mixteam with a number of veteran players including Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert and Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham. While this did not materialize into a full-on return to competition like we saw with steel and Skadoodle on Undone, swag also made a memorable appearance that year in the IEM Dallas 2024 showmatch while representing Team North America.

swag first mentioned the status of his ban back in 2024 on a podcast appearance with Tres "stunna" Saranthus and Zvonimir "Professeur" Burazin, however the news seemingly did not travel far as it received little coverage at the time.
