Wildcard eliminated by FOKUS at Urban Riga #3
Wildcard were eliminated from Urban Riga Open Season 3 in a quarterfinal matchup with the soon-to-be event champions FOKUS. The North American squad gained 51 VRS points during their time at the Latvian LAN.
Their opening map of Inferno against FOKUS saw their opponents jump to a massive 7-0 lead, though Wildcard were able to respond with four straight wins to lessen the gap 4-8. FOKUS, however, took both pistol rounds, putting Wildcard on the backfoot once again on their T side. Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak was the only Wildcard player to finish the map with a positive rating and KDR, with seven of his frags earned via the AWP.
Wildcard were able to take the pistol rounds on their map pick of Dust2, ending the first half up two rounds. Unfortunately for them, FOKUS then went on a seven-round attacking streak, obliterating Wildcard's lead and chances of forcing a map three.
This was Nemanja "nEMANHA" Đukić's first event at the helm for Wildcard, and he finished their final matchup with 13 assists.
