Passion UA bomb out of BC Game Masters placing Major hopes in serious jeopardy
Passion UA have bombed out of the BC Game Masters following back-to-back upset losses to Basement Boys and Tricked, putting the Passion UA's chances of qualifying to the IEM Cologne Major in serious doubt as the team have crashed to 69th in the Valve Regional Standings.
The team's last-place finish in Bucharest is the latest disappointing result for the Ukrainian organization following the additions of Santino "try" Rigal and Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold, with the international roster seemingly failing to click in their first month together.
After their loss to Basement Boys earlier today, Passion UA hoped to rally against the Danes of Tricked, with the series getting off to a strong start as Passion UA won their opponent's map pick, Nuke, decisively, taking a 7-5 CT-side before closing things out with a near-perfect 6-1 T-side. However, the wheels began to fall off the wagon on Mirage as as a disaster-class performance from Passion UA saw Tricked dominate in the first half to climb up to an 11-1 scoreline.
Moving into the second half, Passion UA had us believing they were on course to pull off a miraculous comeback as they won the first nine rounds in a row to close the scoreline to a single round. Despite the momentum clearly being in their favor at this point, Passion UA inexplicably let off the gas at the worst time, allowing Tricked to secure map point first before conceding a 1v3 to Jonas "Boye" Østergaard to allow Tricked to take the map 13-11.
After heartbreak on Mirage, Passion UA were out of sorts heading into Anubis as they collapsed completely to allow Tricked to skate by to a 13-3 win to take the series 2-1.

With Passion UA exiting the BC Game Masters in last place their chances of making the IEM Cologne Major have been seriously hurt amidst an already low chance of qualifying. According to Mischief, the team into the BC Game Masters with a 27.7% chance of qualifying, and it is not hard to imagine they collapsed to an incredibly low percentage chance of qualifying. With that in mind, the team will likely need to win DraculaN Season 6 to have any chance of qualifying and even then that may not be enough.
