Fisher College and EMPIRE reach ESEA S56 NA Finals
ESEA S56 Advanced NA has come to a close with Fisher College and EMPIRE securing the final spots in the NA Finals over Chicken Coop and Zomblers, respectively.
Losing early on to InControl, EMPIRE survived four straight series in the lower bracket to reach the qualifying match. Fisher College lasted longer in the upper bracket, but also lost to InControl before winning two more series to reach the qualifying match.
Fisher College 2-0 
Chicken Coop
The series began on Chicken Coop's pick of Overpass. However, Fisher felt right at home as they dominated the CT-side, taking a 10-2 lead at the end of the half. After taking the pistol, Fisher started running into a wall as Chicken Coop closed the gap significantly. However, Fisher still managed to close it out 13-9.
Fisher picked Ancient and had a solid 3-0 start. A competitive rest of the half saw both teams find streaks with Fisher ending the half up 7-5. Though the second half started slowly as Fisher went down 7-9, they eventually got it together to close the map 13-9 and the series 2-0.

EMPIRE 2-1 Zomblers
The second match was far more competitive. EMPIRE picked Nuke and had a great T-side, putting Zomblers down 4-8. Zomblers started their T-side with a five-round streak to take a slight lead, but a back-and-forth at the end of the half sent the game to overtime. Once there, Zomblers took the first two rounds before a competitive streak ended with Zomblers taking the map 16-14.
Zomblers picked Dust2, but EMPIRE once again had the better first half. Despite being down 1-3 early, EMPIRE still put together an 8-4 lead. The second half had both teams trading streaks as Zomblers chipped away at their lead. Eventually, the teams found themselves in overtime again.
Unlike the first map that ended after one overtime, the second map took three full overtimes to produce a winner. Both teams had chances to take the map, but it was EMPIRE who came out on top 22-20, forcing a decider.
Much like the first two maps, EMPIRE controlled the first half of Overpass. Despite losing the pistol and conversion, EMPIRE had a ten-round streak to take a commanding 10-2 lead. Zomblers attempted a comeback, but it wasn't enough as EMPIRE closed the map 13-9, taking the series.
