ESEA Advanced Season 56 reaches playoffs as Fisher College claims top seed

ESEA Advanced Season 56 has reached playoffs, with 24 teams claiming spots in the VRS Ranked portion of the event. Alongside VRS points, teams are competing to claim one of four spots in the new ESEA Season 56 Finals event, which will see four teams from each of ESEA Advanced, Main, Intermediate, and Open10 compete for a top prize of $15,000 and two spots in the fourth ESL Challenger League Season 54 Cup.

With the changes to the league, this iteration of playoffs features a new double-elimination bracket, which can be seen here, with the top eight teams from the regular season receiving a bye into round two of the upper bracket.

The European-majority Fisher College squad claimed the top seed heading into playoffs with a 13-1 record in the regular season, while SportsBetExpert are trailing right behind them with a 12-2 record. Other notable squads heading into playoffs include LAG, Zomblers, Mythic, Wanted Goons, InControl, and Chicken Coop.

Some other interesting squads to make playoffs include the Pakistani Desi Boyz roster featuring Khizar "Momo" Rehman and Saad "Pluto" Siraj, and the Chinese NZ stack.

On the other side of the coin, notable squads to miss out on playoffs include Outfit 49, FlyQuest RED, Sakura, and regain.
