M80 win ESL Challenger S51 Cup 1 over Voca

M80 have defeated Voca to become champions of ESL Challenger League Season 51 North America Cup 1. This win guarantees M80 a spot in the Season 51 North America Finals this May, in addition to their $8,000 prize.

On Voca's map pick of Dust2, M80 took the opening pistol and subsequent round, with Voca striking back to take the lead 3-2. From here, M80 launched into a seven-round streak before Voca could wrestle back the CT side pistol. They would secure the next two before trading rounds with M80, acquiring seven rounds before their opponents closed out the map with three straight T side wins.

Miarge saw M80 take four straight rounds and four more sporadic detonations on T side, giving them an 8-4 lead at the half. Voca's T side, however, would respond in kind. At 10-10, they would take the lead once and for all, with Deni "dea" Ediev claiming 10 frags on the offense and just as many AWP kills in the map.

Overpass would be the decider, and M80 would again take an 8-4 lead in the first half. Voca would rally for a five-round streak in the second, but M80 were able to hold them to 11. Michael "Swisher" Schmid finished the map 35-16, ending the series with 65 frags and a 1.54 rating.
