Grim confirmed to play with Passion UA at Roman Imperium Cup V
HLTV got confirmation from the tournament organizer of the Roman Imperium Cup V that Michael "Grim" Wince will be playing with Passion UA at the event. This confirmation comes several days after Passion UA announced their acquisition of Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold on loan from The MongolZ, sparking speculation on when he would make his debut.
Though it has not been confirmed that Grim will be the one leaving to make room for Senzu, multiple sources informed Dust2.us that NRG are in advanced negotiations with the American rifler, suggesting he will depart the Ukrainian organization shortly. Passion UA CEO Artemijs Rjabovs also confirmed that Senzu would play his first event with the team at ESL Pro League Season 23.
If this is Grim's final event with Passion UA, it would be the end of a storied partnership between Grim and South African IGL Johnny "JT" Theodosiou. The duo first united in early 2022 after Grim was signed alongside JT to Complexity during their rebuild, and they have played together ever since.
Notable achievements of Grim and JT's time together include six major appearances, a second-place finish at IEM Sydney 2023, and a trophy at ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024.
Passion UA's lineup for the Roman Imperium Cup V will be:
-
Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol -
Michael "Grim" Wince -
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou -
Nick "nicx" Lee -
Santino "try" Rigal -
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (Coach)
Passion UA's first match at the event will be against Rebels at 12:00PM.
