Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 Day #14 recap: Outfit 49 push past regain
The Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #6 playoffs continued last night with its second quarterfinal series, seeing Outfit 49 emerge victorious against regain after a competitive two-map series. With the win in hand, Outfit 49 will face off against FarmVille for a spot in the grand finals.
Dust2 kicked off with Outfit 49 climbing up to an early 5-1 lead on their T-side before regain flipped things around to even up the scoreline 6-6 at the half. In the second half Outfit 49 won their second pistol round of the series and the following round on their CT-side before regain answered back with two rounds of their own to tie things up 8-8. This stalemate began to give way as Outfit 49 were the first to find double digits after winning the next three rounds before continued strong play from recent addition Max "Zoker" Laping allowed Outfit 49 to lock down the map 13-10.
Moving onto Mirage, Outfit 49 won their third pistol round of the series and used that momentum to climb up to an early 3-0 lead before continued momentum allowed them to decisively win the half with an 8-4 lead. After switching sides, regain finally had a pistol round go their way, however it wasn't enough to ever regain the lead against Outfit 49 as they were once against first to climb up to double digits at a 6-10 scoreline. This then led to a tit-for-tat trading of rounds before Outfit 49 broke the stalemate to secure Mirage 13-10.

The final quarterfinal series of the event will go ahead tonight at 07:00PM as Aether are set to take on LAG. The other quarterfinal series between Wildcard and Blitzkrieg was unfortunately forfeited by the latter team.
