malbsMd and G2 eliminated from PGL Cluj-Napoca by NAVI
Former M80 star Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and G2 were eliminated at the hands of NAVI in the fifth round of the Swiss group stage at PGL Cluj-Napoca.
G2 played solid in the first half of both maps, holding a lead in each of them. However, they didn't win a single round in the second half of either map, leading to NAVI securing comeback victories for the 2-0 win.
G2's map pick was Dust2, where they began with a 4-1 lead. NAVI battled back to cut the lead to 7-5 at halftime. NAVI's T side was where they took control, winning the next eight rounds to secure a 13-7 win and a perfect attacking half.
Ancient was NAVI's pick, but it was G2 who jumped out to a 9-1 lead to start the map. NAVI won the final two rounds of the half, then turned it into another flawless second half to win 13-9.
Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy was on fire in the series, posting 44 frags with a 1.68 rating. malbsMd had a rough game for himself, with 23 frags to 36 deaths over the two maps.
