Passion UA, BetBoom, and BET-M complete IEM Atlanta team list

After about a week of matches, three teams have secured their tickets to Atlanta. Passion UA were the sole victors of the Americas Qualifier, while Russian squads BetBoom and BET-M topped the Global Qualifier. These three teams join the thirteen others invited through the VRS to round out the 16-team IEM event.

Though all three teams qualified for the event in the end, they had vastly different expectations going in.

Passion UA entered the Americas Qualifier as heavy favorites to reach the LAN event. They were #29 on the VRS going in, and the next highest was Voca at #72. Passion UA played like the favorites, sweeping mouse and SportsBetExpert aside 2-0 before a highly competitive 2-1 victory against Wildcard put them in the final. They played Wildcard again, and the rematch was far smoother as Passion UA got a clean 2-0 to qualify for IEM Atlanta.

In the Global Qualifier, BetBoom entered as favorites as well; they were the highest-ranked team on the VRS and the only one in the top 30. Their campaign started with clean wins over BASEMENT BOYS and ENCE, followed by a closer 2-1 series against SINNERS to reach the upper final. There, a dominant Ancient and narrow Dust 2 victory over underdogs BET-M got them their spot at the main event.

The surprise of the qualifiers was BET-M as they did not enter as favorites. In fact, they were in the bottom four by VRS of the 16 competing teams at #64. The core of BET-M has been together since late 2023, when they united in RUSH B. After moving to 33 (now known as BET-M) in mid-2025, they found moderate success in online events, but little upward movement. They notably made the semi-finals of LanDaLan 3, losing to PARIVISION, who won the event shortly before their run in Budapest.

BET-M's run began with a big 2-1 upset over Jesper "JW" Wecksell's EYEBALLERS, followed by another 2-1 against Inner Circle. They then faced Fnatic and took home another huge 2-1 upset to reach the upper final. Though they lost to the aforementioned BetBoom 0-2, they still had a shot in the lower bracket. There, an extremely close 2-1 victory over SINNERS secured their spot in the main event.
