regain part ways with Fuzenko
On February 5th, regain announced the departure of Kyryl "fuzenko" Kotov via a tongue-in-cheek announcement on their X account, seeing the Ukrainian rifler leave the orgless squad more than a year after joining the team alongside Alexander "sasha" Burke on January 11th, 2025.
The departure of fuzenko marks the first change in regain's ranks since the team added Mark "marekiew" Petrov back in August 2025, marking the squad as one of the most stable lineups in the NA subtop. This stability allowed regain to climb the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to a peak of 102nd in the world before an extended period of stagnation that has seen the team stumble to 153rd in the world at the time of publication.
This stagnation and a failure to find win against some of the bigger names in the region are potential factors in this roster shakeup, with there being ample room for speculation as the team have not commented publicly on why they cut fuzenko.
Last weekend the team were spotted fielding Hungarian rifler Nolen "noleN" Vida in the IEM Atlanta Open Qualifier, with the team falling in the round of sixteen to Claymakers Reborn. noleN is based in Europe, meaning his permanent addition to the squad would force the rifler to play with a significant ping disadvantage.
