Four teams advance from IEM Atlanta Americas Open Qualifier

After two days of play, the 90 participants in the IEM Atlanta Americas Open Qualifier were whittled down to four: Wildcard, team mouse, SportsBetExpert, and Fisher College. These four teams will have the chance to qualify for the main LAN event taking place in Georgia's capital this May.

The open qualifier was a single-elimination bracket of best-of-ones until the qualifying matches, which were best-of-threes. There, Wildcard beat ClayMakers Reborn 2-0, team mouse beat F5 2-0, SBE beat Omen 2-0, and Fisher College beat 1WIN 2-1.

The four teams advancing from the open qualifier are joined in the closed qualifier by four invited teams from the February Americas VRS: Passion UA, Voca, Rave, and BOSS.

The eight teams will play in a double-elimination, all-bo3 bracket to determine the one team who will reach the main event. The closed qualifier will run from February 10th to 12th.
