Official: Lotus disband

Lotus have informed Dust2.us that the former ESL Impact League squad have disbanded, with Samantha "Zazu" Blair telling the publication the team have gone their separate ways following the departure of Alice "alicerawr" Hewitt to Sakura last week. The lineup are the latest Impact squad to dissolve following the end of the ESL Impact League last year.

The most recent iteration of Lotus formed at the end of 2024 with the aim of competing in ESL Impact League Season 7. While the team were controversially unable to compete in Season 7 due to sudden changes in ESL's gender identity verification system, the team were back in action for Season 8 via the open qualifiers. In Season 8 the team finished the regular season in fifth with a 3-4 record, sitting behind Nocturnal in the standings.

The team also competed in the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #5, exiting the event with a 0-3 record while fielding multiple stand-ins.
