Fawx steps down from Sakura, joins FlyQuest RED FACEIT team

Yesterday Sakura announced the departure of long-time Shimmer member Lydia "Fawx" Dalton from the lineup, seeing her step down and be replaced by Lotus' Alice "alicerawr" Hewitt. Fawx had been a significant part of the Shimmer squad over the past year, helping the lineup make playoffs at the final two ESL Impact League LANs while also maintaining a dominant position in the NA Impact scene.

In 2025 Fawx maintained a 1.16 rating over 145 maps on the AWP, making her one of the most productive members of her team and a prospect in the wider Impact scene.

Fawx declined to comment on her future plans to Dust2.us, however her FACEIT profile somewhat betrays her as she has joined FlyQuest RED's team on the platform. In joining FQ Red, Fawx is expected to replace Emma "Emy" Choe as the team's AWPer.

Replacing Fawx on Sakura is alicerawr, a far less experienced name who started competing in the Impact scene this year with Lotus. She will have a big task ahead of her in replacing Fawx, although early days are promising as she posted a 1.29 rating over 17 maps in 2025.
