DETONATE announce return to Counter-Strike 2

On January 19th, Atlanta-based team DETONATE announced their return to CS2 with a new ESEA Main roster featuring familiar NA names in the form of Matthew "tatm" Munro and Aidan "Feral" Wood.

This new lineup is based around a squad that Dust2.us understands will become Fisher College's second lineup later in the year, with the team set to represent DETONATE in events outside of the collegiate scene. The signing sees DETONATE return to Counter-Strike 2 after previously hosting the now-regain squad from July to September 2024.

The team had a "soft launch" of sorts at the end of 2025, finishing ESEA Open 10 Season 55 in third place while representing Fisher College. This new lineup will make their LAN debut in late March when the team attend FRAG York on March 26.

In ESEA Main Season 56 the team currently boasts a 2-0 record and are set to face off against Skyline tonight.
