Australian organization SemperFi claims spot at FRAG York; become first ANZ team to attend a FRAG event
Australian esports organization SemperFi have purchased a ticket to attend FRAG York, becoming the first Australian team to ever compete in a FRAG event. SemperFi joins a growing list of international teams to sign up for the Syracuse, New York event, with BESTIA and NIP among the team currently signed up for the $15,000 event.
SemperFi are Australia's undisputed best team, with the squad led by Latvian import Kristers "keen" Dārznieks winning the overwhelming majority of events in the region in 2025. The team notably won all four ECL Season 50 Cups in the region earlier in the year, securing a spot in ESL Pro League Season 23 after such a dominant performance while also winning both domestic Dfrag LANS they attended.
Alongside Latvian duo keen and Martins "shadiy" Gūtmanis, SemperFi features familiar names in the Australian scene James "SaVage" Savage, Jared "HaZR" O'Bree, and Christian "ADDICT" Pendleton.
SemperFi's attendance at FRAG York will come after an extended international tour for the squad, with the team heading to Malaysia in December for the Odyssey Cup Asia 2025 while the team will have Urban Riga Open #2 in Latvia and PLAYR Malmö in Sweden on their calendars next year.
Should the Aussies do well at these three LAN events it could see them make massive gains in the VRS and gain a ton of experience that will hopefully allow them to attend more international LANs in future.
Here are the notable teams that have signed up for FRAG York thus far:
•
BESTIA

Fisher College
•

•

With SemperFi being the 31st team to claim a spot at FRAG York, space is quickly running out.
