LAG top ESEA Season 55 Elite Cup #2 over freakazoid and co.

LAG have made great use of ESEA's Elite Cups.

This weekend LAG topped the ESEA Season 55 Elite Cup #2 over Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir's 33 mixteam, securing $1,750 and locking in a spot in the third ESL Challenger League Season 51 Cup. LAG have made great use of the Elite cups since they were introduced in mid-2025, with this being the organization's third win, scooping up a few VRS points via an event that is largely ignored by similarly-ranked teams.

LAG's road to the grand finals saw them take of A Great Chaos and MAZRAEA without trouble, despite suddenly bringing in Chance "xaler" Palmer as a stand-in after ending Alexander "REKMEISTER" Flynn's trials. These wins set them up for a confrontation against 33, a mixteam that notably features freakazoid, Koby "kobruh" Higgs, and Evil Geniuses' Soham "valens" Chowdhury as coach.

33 did well to make the finals, however they were no match for LAG, with LAG starting the series with a somewhat close 13-9 win on Dust2 before securing a blowout 13-3 win on Inferno.
