phzy rejoins 9INE, who makes fun of Wildcard for using ChatGPT in announcement
Love "phzy" Smidebrant's time in North America is officially over as he returned to 9INE, this time permanently, on December 5th.
The Swedish AWPer had rejoined 9INE on loan in July, but Wildcard recalled him in September to retain their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points. However, phzy never hid his intention to depart Wildcard's ranks as soon as possible.
phzy's last months with Wildcard were a waste of time for him, as they failed to qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major. The Swedish was on the path to help 9INE qualify for the Major by the time he was recalled, and they ended up missing it too without him, after losing the FRAG Blocktober finals to Fnatic.
When phzy returned to Wildcard, he mentioned in an interview with Dust2.us that Wildcard had used ChatGPT to consult roster changes, which became a known meme in the community.
9INE cleverly made fun of Wildcard in phzy's announcement, with a cheeky joke in the first seconds of the video.

Tobias "kraghen" Kragh Jensen -
Jan "cej0t" Dyl -

Meanwhile, Wildcard is working to build a brand new roster for 2026 after releasing and transfer listing the players. As of right now, the NA organization has only secured the services of James "JamezIRL" Macaulay, who will be the head coach.
