Mustache Masters Season 6 raises $20K for Movember Foundation!
Mustache Masters Season 6 went down this weekend, with 14 teams taking part in the tournament. 2008LexusRX450H defeated Wanted Goons Outlaws in the finals.
The event was organized by a group of esports industry members who are raising awareness for men's mental health, including Dust2.us' former editor-in-chief Ryan Friend. The event raised over $20,000 dollars, bringing the grand total that Mustache Masters has raised over the years to greater than $120,000.
2008Lexus defeated Moniseum and Factor on their way to the final, while Wanted Goons Outlaws went through fat nuts no lumps and RYAN ENEMY.
2008Lexus won the first map, Mirage, 13-9. Wanted Goons came back on Dust2 with a solid 13-7 win and forced a third map. However, the comeback would stop there as 2008Lexus rebounded in the decisive map to win 13-5.
The event's main goal, though, is to increase awareness for men's health. In an attempt to incentivize donations, the members of the broadcast completed forfeits as different donation goals were hit. Notably, Mike "DarfMike" Winnick got his hair dyed blue, Ryan Friend got pelted with water balloons, and multiple people were forced to eat hot peppers as the donations came in.
Mustache Masters did $4,000 better than in Season 5 in 2023, where $16,000 was raised for charity.
Although Mustache Masters Season 6 has reached its end, you can still donate and help Movember's cause here.
