neL: NRG asked other players but "most didn’t want to IGL and play nitr0's spots"

NRG will be playing the StarLadder Bucharest Major without their IGL Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, as he is expecting the birth of his third child.

neL remarked on X that he was curious about why NRG seemingly didn't have an IGL sub lined up despite knowing about this conflict for some time.

After that post, neL said that he spoke with Damian "daps" Steele and that NRG did try to find another pro player, but there was uncertainty around if nitr0 would actually miss the major, initially.

The other reason players were hesitant to join NRG was because they would be required to IGL and play all of nitr0's spots in the server.

NRG then came to the decision that it would be best to use daps as the IGL, as he understands the team and the system better than any substitute player could.
