Breaking: Wildcard bench and transfer list entire roster

In a shock move, Wildcard have benched and/or transfer listed their entire Counter-Strike 2 roster as the organization is seemingly set to start from scratch after an extremely tumultuous time post-BLAST.tv Austin Major. The new follows Love "phzy" Smidebrant revealing that he planned on leaving Wildcard while Vladislav "GromovCS" Gromov previously reported that Wildcard was set to part ways with Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz.

The benching marks the culmination of a stunning reversal of fortunes in 2025 for a roster that made Top 16 at the Perfect World Shanghai Major in 2024, with organizational meddling seemingly pulling apart one of NA's top teams with a series of questionable benchings and signings.

The organization notoriously benched phzy and stanislaw following the BLAST.tv Austin Major while bringing in Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell without consulting the team, with phzy later accusing Wildcard management of relying on ChatGPT to inform the signing.

After three weeks, Wildcard would reverse course and bring back stanislaw while also eventually reinstating phzy to the starting. However, the team were seemingly never able to recover from their post-Major blunder, with results being underwhelming from the squad.

Notably, Peeping struggled immensely during this four-month tenure with the team while Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek's replacement, Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, performed admirably after joining the team in September. While the rest of the roster is now benched, F1KU will be leaving the team at the end of the month as he was on a short-term contract.

It is also worth pointing out that Peeping was the sole player Wildcard declined to say was transfer listed, suggesting he may yet find a place on a new roster at Wildcard.
