Liquid lose to 3DMAX in CAC 2025 semifinals
Liquid are out of contention for the CS Asia Championships 2025 title after losing to 3DMAX today, October 18th, in the semifinals.
But the tournament isn't over just yet, as Liquid will return to the server tomorrow to play the 3rd place decider match against HEROIC.

This comeback was fueled mainly by Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak as the Polish duo got crucial frags that changed the outcome of some rounds.
But, in the maps that followed — Nuke and Inferno — Liquid were unable to bring on that same intensity.
They let 3DMAX tie the series after an uninspiring T-side on Nuke (1-7), and never really had a chance on Inferno, as 3DMAX got to match-point territory very fast.
Even though Liquid obviously wanted to go as far as possible at CAC 2025, losing to 3DMAX nowadays is no demerit. The French team have played more big LANs than Liquid this season, and are ahead of them on the rankings.
According to Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, the comms were not too good today, and Liquid still need more practice.
"[We're] still a new team with limited practice and had a lot of rounds where comms hurt us," EliGE wrote on X.
"Learning experience and just got to take it, and they played well also."
The 3rd place decider match between Liquid and HEROIC is scheduled for tomorrow, 11:00PM.
