FaZe had to come up with a lot of things on the fly

Twistzz comments on FaZe's elimination from CAC 2025: "We've had four days of practice with jcobbb"

They lost twice to FUT in the Chinese tournament.

Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken joined the official CS Asia Championships 2025 broadcast following FaZe's second loss to FUT, and consequently, their elimination from the tournament.

It was, all in all, a rough showing from FaZe in their first tournament without Håvard "rain" Nygaard. And part of it, according to Twistzz, is because they didn't have enough time to practice with Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski.

But, before touching on the lack of practice, Twistzz praised FUT and said they deserved both victories.

They look like a really well-drilled team. They're young, hungry players. They're very sharp, and they deserved the win today, for sure. They deserved to win the BO1, as well.

Then, the interviewer touched on how all of FaZe's maps were a little bit tough, as they lost rounds that they were supposed to win. And Twistzz explained that FaZe had to come up with stuff on the fly due to the lack of practice.

We've had four days of practice with jcobbb, and that was before EPL. Then we had no practice during EPL because we played with rain, and then we traveled straight from EPL after our very last match to here and played the very next day after arriving.

It's not a surprise that the maps are really messy; you can't expect people to remember a playbook from three weeks ago and use it flawlessly.

It's just rough, right? There's a reason why it looks so messy, because everything is on the fly, and it comes down to a lot of mid-round calls.

When it's like this, you need five players communicating at a very high level and giving a lot of information, and yeah, if we're even 5% off, then of course we can be upset.

Over the course of CAC 2025, FaZe lost a best-of-one to FUT on the opening day and took down B8 and TYLOO before losing to FUT again.

FaZe will have some time off to rest and prepare for IEM Chengdu, which kicks off on November 3rd.
