FaZe disappoint in CAC 2025, their first tournament without rain
FaZe have failed to reach the playoffs of CS Asia Championships 2025 as they lost a decisive game vs. FUT today, October 16th. This was their first tournament without Håvard "rain" Nygaard, and it's a bad result, considering that they finished top four at ESL Pro League Season 22 last week.
To make matters worse, Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski finished CAC 2025 as FaZe's lowest-rated player, as he averaged a mere 0.87 rating. The young Polish rifler returned to the active lineup following EPL S22, in which FaZe had to use rain because of ESL's roster restrictions.
Before losing to FUT in the final game of group B's lower bracket, FaZe reverse-swept TYLOO, eliminating the remaining home team at CAC 2025.
Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken once again had an inspiring performance, having contributed with 50 kills, but the true difference-maker was Helvijs "broky" Saukants. The Latvian AWPer dropped a mesmerizing 2.00 rating on Inferno, the second map of the series.

As for the FUT game, it was another rollercoaster of emotions for FaZe fans, but this time, they didn't pull through. FUT clinched a narrow victory after a very solid T-side on Dust2, in which they won by 8-3.
Though Dmytro "dem0n" Myroshnychenko finished the series as the highest-rated player (1.36), it was broky who made the best play, possibly the best of the entire CAC 2025 so far.
The AWPer delivered a mind-blowing 1v4 clutch on Mirage, with just a Tec-9 to work with.

CAC 2025 will resume tomorrow, October 17th, with the quarterfinals. Fnatic will play 3DMAX, and Legacy will face FUT.
Liquid, on the other hand, will play on Saturday as they beat Legacy to advance straight to the semifinals.
