Zomblers and regain reach Crossfire Season 2 finals

CROSSFIRE Season 2 has reached the grand finals with regain and Zomblers left in the running after three weeks of play in the single elimination bracket. The two ESL Challenger League squads each advanced into the final match of the $2,500 NA grassroots league after winning three games each without dropping a single map.

regain's road to the finals began with them claiming a tidy win over Mavrek with a tidy 13-6 win on Train before taking Dust2 13-8. Their next match was a forfeit win over Redacted Society which led them into a semifinals showdown versus Aether. The game versus Train started with regain securing Train 13-8 before closing out the series with a 13-9 win on Inferno.

On the other side of the bracket, Zomblers' run began with a forfeit win over the struggling mouse roster. Their next series against Vireo.pro was utterly dominant for Zomblers, with the team winning Overpass 13-3 and Dust2 13-4, running over the Advanced team without too much opposition.

In the semifinals, Zomblers started their series against Brazen with the closest game of their playoffs campaign thus far, needing overtime to secure Mirage 16-14. The second map in the series, Inferno, was also close as Zomblers needed 21 rounds to secure Inferno 13-8.

With Zomblers and regain through to the finals, the Bo3 series is set to take place on October 17th at 08:16PM.
