CCT NA Season 3 Series 2 recap: Zomblers upset Wildcard for semifinal spot
CCT Series 2 of its third season in NA is getting down to the business end, with four teams in with a chance for the $5,000 grand prize.
Zomblers and InControl advanced from Group A to the playoffs, while regain and FULL SEND were the top two teams from Group B. Wildcard, ex-Chicken Coop, Getting Info, and BOSS were awaiting them in the playoffs after being invited thanks to their VRS seeds.
The semifinals have been set, as Zomblers shocked Wildcard in the previous quarterfinals to net themselves a place in the penultimate round.

Wildcard
Zomblers elected to start on Ancient, with Wildcard taking the CT-side. Zomblers were down 4-2 early, but brought back the half with a five-round spree to take a 7-5 lead into the second period. Wildcard stood no chance on their T-side, as Zomblers surrendered just a single round in the second half to take the first map 13-6.
It only got worse for Wildcard from there. On their own pick of Inferno, they only managed to muster a single round win on their T-side, going down by a near-insurmountable 11-1 deficit. Zomblers easily converted their lead into a 13-1 win to move on to the semifinal, where they will face ex-Chicken Coop, who defeated InControl in the first round.

Along with the aforementioned Zomblers and ex-Chicken Coop, the other semifinal will see Getting Info face off with regain. Getting Info have already defeated FULL SEND while regain toppled BOSS.
