ESL Impact League Season 7 Finals Groups announced

ESL have announced the group draw for the ESL Impact League Season 7 Finals, seeing the eight teams set to compete into the $123,000 tournament divided into two GSL groups. The event is set to run with the familiar "DreamHack Open" format which sees opening matches and winners' matches played as Bo1s while elimination and decider matches will be Bo3s.

Starting with Group A, Supernova Comets have been placed in a group alongside Russian squad DMS, the Brazilians of FURIA Female, and the French Prototype Blaze lineup, providing a difficult challenge for NA top's Impact squad.

However, Group B may prove to be even more difficult for FlyQuest RED, as it features both Imperial Valkyries and NIP Impact alongside MIBR Female. With Imperial Valkyries being a force of nature in ESL Impact and NIP Impact proving themselves a capable contender in recent months, FlyQuest RED will need to reach a new level should they want to escape Group B.

NA teams have been absent from the ESL Impact League Finals playoffs since Season 3, with this season likely to be as challenging as ever for the region to try and buck that trend.
