nocries: "I will stay here and play for an NA team"

Maidar "nocries" has been the source of much controversy after blowing up on the NA FACEIT scene. He spoke with Henry "HenryG" Greer and Hugo Byron during ESL's Pro League broadcast recently.

nocries commented on his newfound fame, the difference between FACEIT in Europe and North America, and his new goals in CS.

Below are select excerpts from the interview.

You started playing FACEIT in NA in June, are you surprised you blew up and got this much attention?

Yes, I'm surprised. My goal was to be top 1 on FACEIT, and I achieved it.

When you left Europe, your elo was 2500. Going from 2500 to 4000 in NA, that's quite a challenge, is there a massive skill difference in EU compared to NA?

I don't know, the one thing I mentioned is that my ping is about 100 lower, and it gives me an advantage over players.

Your goal was to get top 1 in NA, do you have a goal now? Do you want to play pro, do you think you're good enought to play pro?

I don't have enough experience to play pro. Right now, I'm training and my goal is to achieve top 1 on HLTV.

Are you trying to stay in North America, or do you want to come back to Europe and play?

Right now, I'm studying here. I think I will stay here and play for an NA team. I don't know yet, I will have to see the offers.
