Karrigan on the return of Twistzz: "A tornado of fresh air"

FaZe's in-game leader has high hopes for the Canadian's second stint.

Despite forfeiting against G2 and falling in his debut match against 3DMAX, the long-time IGL for FaZe inFinn "karrigan" Andersen is already loving the impact the returning Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken has on the team.

While at ESL Pro League, karrigan spoke to HLTV about what Twistzz provides to the team now compared to his previous run from 2021 to 2023.

Karrigan says it's been "fantastic" working with Twistzz again, adding that it's the first time since playing alongside Nikola "NiKo" Kovač that he's had a secondary caller. For context, the last time NiKo and karrigan played together was back on FaZe in 2018.

He says that the biggest change that Twistzz brings to the team is his energy, saying that it will take some of the energy-lifting duties off himself and Helvijs "broky" Saukants. "With Russ," he told HLTV, "we have a tornado of fresh air into the team."

While Twistzz's pursuit of becoming an elite IGL didn't necessarily work out with Liquid, that experience does give him an edge in a secondary caller role, which also opens him up to continue delivering at a high individual level. His individual prowess is already on display at EPL, in both the loss against 3DMAX and the decisive win over Astralis.
