Team USA male and female qualify for canceled IESF World Championships raising confusion, concerns

The Team USA male and female teams have qualified for the IESF World Championships, according to the United States Esports Federation X account.

However, no details have been released regarding the World Championship event since it confirmed to be canceled per a previous report. No information regarding the new location or dates of a potential tournament has been released by the organization. The original event was cancelled due to safety concerns over holding the event in Lviv, Ukraine during the war and financial irregularities.

The male and female teams selected for the IESF event appear to be PUG squads with Collin "CoJoMo" Moren once again returning as the captain of the male team. This, in combination with the lack of details surrounding the event and a flawed and opaque qualification process, has led many to question the legitimacy of the already scrutinized IESF and USEF.

The official IESF X account hasn't posted since the European CS2 qualifier in July, leaving the details and existence of the World Championships up in limbo.
