Map maker recreates Minecraft in Counter-Strike 2 with new scripting tools

Perhaps one day all games will be made in CS2.

A talented map maker by the name of Ansimist has recreated Minecraft in Counter-Strike 2 using the new scripting tools Valve recently added to the game in a previous update. The work-in-progress, which was first released on September 20th, allows players to place blocks and build structures with a handful of block types, with the map even working in multiplayer.

The Minecraft-inspired map is the latest cool creation in Counter-Strike 2 powered by the game and Source 2's modding tools. Ansimist has made a number of other cool creations in CS2 and CS:GO including a map based on popular TV show Squid Game and mirrored versions of Active Duty maps.

Abdul "degster" Gasanov took notice of the creation is seemingly a fan of the creation as well. If you are interested in trying out the map, you can find it on the Steam Workshop.
