Talented map maker Lillykyu releases fully destructible CS2 map

The incredibly cool map is based on de_mirage.

Talented Counter-Strike 2 map maker Lillykyu has released her latest stunning creation to the Steam Workshop, de_mirage bricks — a completely destructible Counter-Strike 2 map based on de_mirage's B site. The amazing creation sees a portion of de_mirage broken down into individual Lego pieces, with every single wall, barrier, and structure able to be knocked over, blown up, and sent flying by grenades and gun fire.

With everything in the map being destructible, it greatly changes the way rounds play, with Lillykyu's video showing players bypassing walls, climbing up piles of rubble, and completely destroying the map while navigating CS2's family gameplay.

Lillykyu is a well-known map maker and has been featured on Dust2.us numerous times for bringing recreations of games like Subway Surfers, Jetpack Joyride, and Fruit Ninja, however this may be her most ambitious and interesting creation to date. As de_mirage bricks can be played within the standard CS2 gamemode and works in multiplayer, it will potentially have more staying power as it goes beyond being a novelty into something truly unique.

According to Lillykyu, by making the brick physics run server-side alongside a number of other optimizations the map plays incredibly well, with FPS regularly going above that found CS2's Active Duty map pool.
