Shimmer and Nocturnal are leading the ESL Impact League Season 8 North America following the conclusion of week two, but FlyQuest RED are right behind them with two victories as well.

Nocturnal 2-0 wwaves 
Nocturnal breeze past the EU side wwaves off the back of great collective performance. All their players had their moment in the series, and finished with a positive K-D.
The spotlight goes to Marissa "madss" Dasta, as she made the difference on Dust2, having put out 18 frags and a +5.92% Round Swing.

Lotus 2-0 Black Mold
Lotus won their first match in Season 8 at the expense of Black Mold. The latter forfeit map one as they couldn't field an eligible lineup, and were dominated on Mirage.
Lotus won all seven rounds on the CT-side of Mirage in the second half, much because of Alice "alicerawr" Hewitt's impact. She went 12-0 on that CT-side, posting a +37.81% Round Swing and a 3.64 rating.

Shimmer 2-1 Ghost
It looked like Shimmer, the best Impact team in NA, would lose their first match early in the tournament as Ghost absolutely destroyed them on Inferno (13-4).
However, Shimmer woke up in the second map and beyond, and reversed sweep Ghost with comfortable victories on Dust2 and Overpass. Lucy "empathy" Verkaik was the MVP of the series, having finished with a 1.37 rating and 95.7 ADR.
