ESL Challenger League S50 Cup #2 day 9 recap: Marsborne take down Getting Info to lock in finals berth
Last night in ESL Challenger League Season 50 Cup #2, Marsborne advanced to the grand finals of the event following a 2-0 win over Getting Info. The result is the latest strong showing from the team following the addition of new IGL Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk and sees Getting Info forced into the bracket where they will have a rematch against Wildcard to determine which team will join Marsborne in the Grand Finals.
Marsborne 2-0 Getting Info
The showdown between Marsborne and Getting Info was a competitive two-map affair, although Ancient remained in Marsborne's hands throughout the opening map of the series. Marsborne began their CT-side with a 4-0 lead before securing a narrow 7-5 lead heading onto their T-side. There Marsborne ran away with the map, snatching their opponent's map pick 13-7 to put Getting Info on the back foot heading into map two.
Moving on to Train, Getting Info began the map with a 4-1 lead on their CT-side before losing momentum against a leading performance from Cxzi that saw the team eke out another 7-5 lead once again heading into the second half. After switching sides, Getting Info started strong with five rounds in a row on their T-side, however Marsborne would then answer back with five rounds in a row of their own to advance to map point. This would then lead to Marsborne taking the map after the two squads traded the last two rounds to see Marsborne take the map 13-11 and avoid overtime.

Tonight the Lower Bracket Final will be played out with Getting Info taking on Wildcard at 09:00PM. Getting Info bested Wildcard in the teams' previous confrontation in ECL with Getting Info also boasting a 3-1 record in Bo3 against the team since August.
