Liquid draw Aurora in Twistzz's final playoff run with TL at FISSURE Playground 2

After rallying from an 0-2 start in the FISSURE Playground 2 group stage with three straight wins, Liquid has drawn Aurora in the final playoff run with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.

Liquid started their run in poor shape, losing their first two matches to FURIA and GamerLegion. But wins against HEROIC and TYLOO guaranteed Liquid a chance at playoffs, poetically matching them against Twistzz's future teammates on FaZe. Twistzz has had a spectucular final event with Liquid, and his efforts against FaZe today gifted Liquid an almost guaranteed spot at the StarLadder Budapest Major.

In his final playoffs run, Twistzz will lead Liquid against Aurora, who secured a 3-0 record in the group stage with wins against Astralis, TYLOO, and FURIA. After a very slow start to the year, Aurora are coming off their best finish of 2025 at Esports World Cup, where they reached the grand final before falling to the MongolZ.

After FISSURE Playground 2 concludes, Twistzz will depart Liquid to join FaZe. While an official change has not been confirmed, CS2 insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov reported today that long-time veteran Håvard "rain" Nygaard will be the one to depart FaZe.
