ESL Challenger League S50 Cup 2 Days 1/2 recap: Wildcard, Getting Info advance to upper quarters

The first two rounds of the upper bracket in the ESL Challenger League S50 Cup 2 just concluded, with eight teams making their way to the upper bracket quarter-finals. The other sixteen teams are still in with a chance, though, as none of the lower bracket matches have taken place yet.

Getting Info 2-0 Mythic

Getting Info got revenge over Mythic in the second ECL Cup after the orgless squad was eliminated by the content creators in the first edition of this tournament. Dylan "slump" N. and Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado were the standouts for Getting Info, as they both dropped 36 frags in the clean 2-0 sweep.

Shimmer 2-1 FlyQuest RED

In the second round of the upper-bracket, Shimmer and FlyQuest RED met in an Impact League Derby. The Shimmer roster has won their previous two matchups against FlyQuest RED, but fell behind 1-0 in this series. FlyQuest couldn't capitalize on their advantage, though, as they lost the following two maps to Shimmer and were sent to the lower bracket. Shimmer's heavy hitters, Lydia "Fawx" Dalton and Lucy "empathy" Verkaik, showed their worth, leading their team to the comeback victory.
