ESL Challenger League S50 Cup 1 Day 7 recap: BOSS and BLUEJAYS survive in lower bracket
The action in the first Cup of ECL Season 50 is coming to a head. BOSS defeated InControl in the lower semifinal, while BLUEJAYS beat Marsborne in their match.
BLUEJAYS will face BOSS for a spot in the consolidation final today, where the winner will play the loser of the NRG v. M80 tomorrow in the upper final.
BOSS 2-0 InControl
BOSS straightforwardly dealt with InControl. The match started on InControl's pick of Overpass, but it went entirely the way of BOSS. InContorl secured just one round in the first half, falling behind 11-1. They tripled their rounds in the second half, but still lost their pick 13-4.
BOSS picked Inferno, and InControl looked much more comfortable in this map. InControl were down just 7-5 in the first half, but it was BOSS that took over in the second period. BOSS surrendered just one round in the second half to win the map and match 13-6.

BLUEJAYS 2-1 Marsborne
BLUEJAYS didn't have as easy a time in their lower semifinal matchup. Marsborne put up a fight, but it wasn't enough in the end.
Marsborne picked Inferno to begin the series. After an even 6-6 first half, Marsborne took over on the CT side to win 13-6.
BLUEJAYS tried to stabilize on Dust2, and they looked excellent in the first half, taking a 9-3 lead into the second period. Marsborne were only able to claw back two rounds in the second half, as BLUEJAYS won 13-5.
The deciding map was Nuke, and BLUEJAYS replicated their second map performance, holding a six-round advantage after the first half, again. Marsborne weren't able to put up a strong fight in the second half, losing the series 2-1 and the map 13-6.
