black mold, Lotus, and Little Bocks qualify for ESL Impact League Season 8
The second and final qualifier for ESL Impact League S8 NA recently wrapped up, with three more teams joining the five that have already qualified for the league.
As was the case in the first qualifier, the single elimination tournament sent the top two teams directly into the league, with the semi-final losers facing off in a third-place decider to determine who will take the final spot in Impact this season.
black mold had a relatively clear path to Impact League, as they only had to defeat Little Bocks in the semifinal due to having a bye in the first round. black mold won their only series 2-0 to qualify for the eighth edition of Impact.
Lotus were the other team that went undefeated, as they beat Akave and NYX by scores of 2-0 each time to confirm their place.
Little Bocks 2-0

The third-place playoff was between NYX and Little Bocks. NYX elected to begin the series on Overpass. Little Bocks chose to start on the CT side. Neither team could find an advantage in the first half, as the score was deadlocked at 6-6. Little Bocks fell behind 10-8, but rallied back to steal the NYX's map 13-11.
Little Bocks' map pick was Nuke, and it started similarly to the first. This time it was NYX who chose to begin as CTs, but they fell to a 7-5 deficit after the first period of play. NYX rallied in the second half, taking a 10-9 lead. Little Bocks were up to their same tricks though, as they won four rounds in a row to take the map, series, and final spot in ESL Impact League S8 NA by a score of 13-10.
